Introduction The criminal justice system in the United States has always been a topic of controversy, particularly when it comes to its impact on minority communities. Over time, states in the U.S. have moved towards carrying out reforms to the criminal justice system to try and address the issues that have been brought to light in the way that it impacts these communities. One of these states is Kentucky, which has implemented reforms that have sought to bring more balance and fairness to the way that laws are enforced and the way justice is dispensed throughout the state. The goal of this article is to examine the impact of the Kentucky criminal justice reform on minority communities.
